HoloScene Wildlife Services specializes in GIS and spatial analysis for conservation and ecology. With over 25 years experience, we have expertise in a wide range of analytical applications.

Subdivision and Land Use Planning - Meeting the challenge of accommodating well-planned development while protecting wildlife habitat and connectivity. We use state-of-the-art computer modeling and simulation tools (WildPlanner) to estimate impacts of existing development on wildlife habitat and movement and predict impacts of future development. Our services can help properly plan and evaluate proposed new development as well as identify conservation priorities for protecting and restoring healthy landscapes for wildlife.

Conservation Planning - Is a systematic process for identifying conservation needs and developing strategies to address those needs. We use carefully selected suites of focal species is used to represent the habitat and ecological processes needed to support all native species within a planning area. Conservation plans are developed to assure the long term prosperity of the focal species suite and, by extension, all native species in the area.

Computer Modeling - We provide a wide variety of habitat and connectivity modeling and other analytical services. These include:

Habitat Modeling - Logistic regression, maximum entropy (Maxent), and habitat suitability indices.

Connectivity Modeling - Cost-distance, circuit theory and centrality theory.

Other - We excel at developing novel and low-cost solutions for meeting conservation challenges.
